The Australian Championships is the top tier domestic Beach Volleyball event on the Australian calendar. Initially this event had been scheduled for Manly Beach in NSW but was unfortunately cancelled due to severe weather conditions causing the beach to disappear. The Australian Championships has now secured its position at the Gold Coast Volleyslam Beach Volleyball Festival. The event will commence on Friday 25th March with the qualifiers and the finals will commence on Sunday 27th with all medal matches being broadcast live on SBS.
The Youth Championships is the premier Youth Beach Volleyball event on the Volleyball Australia calendar. Featuring some of the best up-and-coming talent from all across Australia, there is sure to be plenty of quality action on the sand. Capping off an exciting summer, Coolangatta Beach will play host to the Australian Youth Beach Volleyball Championships from Monday 28 til Thursday 31 March 2022. Teams from ACT, New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria will battle it out on the sand from the Under 14s age group all the way up to the Under 18s, competing for the title of Australian Youth Beach Volleyball Champions and claim the President’s Cup as the best performing state.
The Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour is the annual international Beach Volleyball circuit featuring the best athletes in the world. The Beach Pro Tour features 3 levels of events : Elite16 / Challenge / Futures. The tour travels across the globe, showcasing the best of beach volleyball action and events that are engaging, vibrant and where fans leave feeling inspired and part of a community! In 2022 Australia will be playing host to a futures event at Coolangatta beach as part of the annual Volleyslam Beach Volleyball Festival.
The Australian Beach Volleyball Schools’ Cup is a new sporting event in Australia targeting teams from across Australia and internationally; and is owned and delivered by Volleyball Australia. This event have been developed to provide an competition that is professionally delivered and fair to all who participate. Providing an environment that encourages ever increasing levels of competition that are the prime ingredients in maximising the enjoyment of everyone involved. Tournament Entry is open to any Australian School or International School team. For Australian teams, all players must be registered with their relevant State Association. International teams must have their players registered with their National Volleyball Federation and have approval to participate in the event.
